Last night, we received a letter from the IRS. Inside was a note about our “US Economic Stimulus Payment.” Since there is this matter of back taxes, I was expecting nothing. I had called the IRS back in March, and a tax representative and I did the math. Taking out what was owed, minus the payments that would be made, we would still owe about $300, which is another couple months of payments. Imagine our surprise when the letter said that they would only be taking out about $350, and sending us the rest, thank you for your service to the United States Government.

In the words of The Pips, I’m taking a train to Happy Town. Of course, with the price of fuel, it will be a short trip.
