“Modern” Medicine?
It is my further increasingly strong theory that “Modern Medicine” hasn’t a clue about what happens to the human body. They treat symptom after symptom, until they can find the underlying disease. If a car mechanic did that, you would get pissed at them and not do business with them anymore.
Suppose you went to the mechanic because your radiator was leaking and they put a piece of tape over the hole. Problem solved, but let’s keep the car under observation overnight, just to make sure that it’s now OK to drive. So they take the car out for a spin, and the radiator barfs up some coolant. They add some more coolant, and decide that you need to keep the car there for the rest of the day, and then overnight “for observation.”
“For observation” really means, “We haven’t a clue what’s wrong, but want to keep you here in case we need to save our asses so you don’t die at home with no way to get back here.” One night leads to a next, and after the third symptom, they decide to start running tests. $6000 and four days later, they have a diagnosis that the water pump needs to be replaced. A hole in the water pump causes the leak and doesn’t let the radiator fluid circulate. A good mechanic would look at the drip, find the source of the drip, and examine the part to make sure there aren’t any other bad parts. An hour after dropping your car off, you’d get a call: “Mr. Piehole, this is Gary from the car shop. Your water pump has a hole in it and needs to be replaced. I see a little bit of damage to the radiator because the coolant wasn’t circulating properly, and it should be replaced, too. If you don’t want to replace the radiator now, you will need to keep an eye on it because it will definitely need to be replaced, probably within the next three to five years.”
The more I watch FOX’s House, the more I am convinced that Modern Medicine is little more than the development of drugs to treat symptoms. Yes, yes, I know that what is on television and the Internet are 100% real. After all, perception is reality. The way you perceive the world around you is your reality. It’s the Jerry Springer effect.
Dumbasses kept to themselves, knowing that they were dumbasses. Once they started appearing on Jerry Springer, the dumbassess were empowered by the perception that they are not alone, and a new generation of dumbasses were born. Their perception is their reality, which takes us back to Idiocracy.
In conclusion, BLOW IT OUT YOUR PIE HOLE!
