Fortney Stark Ravin’ Mad
Tweet
In 1972, Fortney Stark ran against George P. Miller, “For Miller being in Washington – too long, elected in 1944.” Today, Stark remains in Congress. I, for one, after having seen this video, have never been prouder to have been his constituent.
Unfortunately, California’s 13th district is so entrenched in the Liberal/Statist/Communist mindset that it will be difficult to unseat Stark. No election since 1972 has come close to giving him any worry.
On October 18, 2007, Stark made the following comments on the House floor during a debate with Congressman Joe Barton of Texas:
Let’s rephrase that for today’s biggest debates. Obamacare, which is projected to cost $1.6 trillion over 10 years.
Notice the hypocrisy, Stark won’t spend money to protect the country, but he wants eight times as much money to pay for illegal aliens‘s medical care.
Currently, the United States’ borders are (and sometimes aren’t) fenced to keep people out—it’s not that we don’t want immigrants, it’s just that we want people to enter by following the law of the land. If someone can’t enter the country legally, what precedent does it set for their following the rest of the laws? We’re going to let them come in and get medical care, yet not worry if we still have a sovereign nation or the economic incentive to push the edge of medical technology? The only way that I can see this working is if the illegal aliens become the doctors of the future.
So I slid a bit off track, but this is therapeutic. It keeps me from going nuts and requiring health care.
In other news, if someone is brave enough to start a 527 organization, STARKMUSTGO.COM is available!
I’m afraid that this will be the future of American Health Care, because “the more debt we have, the richer we are”:
