Elizabeth Alexander is a poet?
In the
style of Elizabeth Alexander, an “American Poet” this post will be in the modern poetry style. When I was in school, we learned that a poem was a an organized series of words with meter and rhyme (except haiku, which is zen, not rhyme). Apparently, that is wrong. After careful examination, I have figured out the new style of poetry, and have written a poem to celebrate this occasion. It probably isn’t as glamorous as our previous allegory, The Coalition, it will still be a great event in the life of the Pie Hole.
The Pie Hole presents its own inaugural poem, New Prez.
The Nation peacefully transfers power
today.
The Ivory Tower
Now Sable and smooth.
Previously denying, now fearing evil.
As tanks roll in the street
What was mine will belong to the people.
Free gas for Peggy Joseph,
higher taxes for you.
Joe Biden says disaster.
Countdown but
no
one
cares.Time will tell.
The butterfly passes into the
breeze,
taking hope, courage, pride
to the people
relying on government programs instead of Soul and Spirit for life.
Overcoming adversity 20 years before he is born,
the man weeps his tears of joy.
like a bird, it is ended.

Tanks rolling in the streets as Obama takes power from Bush
higher taxes for you.
Joe Biden says disaster.
Countdown but
no
one
cares.
Time will tell.

The only thing missing from today is the yelling out the windows, “BLOW IT OUT YOUR PIE HOLES!”
