Earth Day
As it turns out, VLADIMIR ILYICH LENIN was born Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov on April 22, 1870. One hundred years later, a Democratic Senator began Earth Day. Coincidence? I think not. Look at the state of the Democratic party today, and I have to ask Senator Nelson, “are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Communist Party?”
The Democrats of today, want to remove property rights of the individual, in the name of the EPA, endangered species act, and open space. Plank 1 of the Communist Manifesto.
Tax the rich! Obviously, they can pay more. The problem with this is that the rich create jobs. The rich purchase boats, cars, and other luxury items. Who creates them? The working class. Taxing the rich means that they don’t have as much money to spend on employees, factories, and things that workers make. Tax the rich more, and the workers won’t work as much. “Pay your fair share.” Plank 2 of the Communist Manifesto.
Estate Taxes. The most damaged people by Estate taxes are farmers. The old farmer dies, and estate taxes mean that the whole farm needs to be sold, either to an “environmental group” for more open space, or to a company farm. Plank 3 of the Communist Manifesto.
Public Education. Why, oh, why is there a Federal Department of Education? There is no basis in the US Constitution for the basis of any portion of the government to be involved in education. Additionally, you have to admit, there are some people who shouldn’t be in school. They are just taking up space, not learning anything. This is one thing where the UK has an advantage over us. School stops at about age 16. After that, kids go off to work or to college. Of course, over there, the taxes pay for everything, health care, school, college. Plank 10 of the Communist Manifesto.
The more I think about the state of the world, the more I’m convinced that Laurel and Hardy had the right idea, but didn’t get set up correctly.
